the full monty. you see this even among republican elites. in the same politico article you have karl rove and others quoted saying we need to do something on immigration. we should do partial measures. we shouldn't go all the way to amnesty, and i think that they're reacting to a lot of blowback that they've gotten from their base as they've talked about the need to go out and make immigration reform something that they just set off the table. >> that quote is factually wrong. what this person thinks is if we have immigration reform, then you'll have more latinos who can vote. maybe you're changing the time frame, but the fact is because of the 14th amendment, anyone who is born in the united states legally or illegally is a legal citizen. you can vote. you can't stop these people from voting. they're just wrong. >> that's 50,000 hispanics turn 18 years old every month, period. that should be the only thing that is in front of the gop right now. all of this hem and hawing about what we're going to do on immigration, to me, is not the argument that we should be having. i think ed

monty's government has survived the no confidence vote. looks like the italian government is going to survive. you see italian stocks were down throughout the day. the problem about this, the structure of italian politics makes the country ungovernable. brian, there's 12 political parties in the chamber of deputies. that's the lower house. you get coalitions together and they routinely topple the governments. this has been a problem since world war ii. they've got to gig ofigure out better way to govern the country. >>> we've got huge volume today on apple. it will do 40 million shares, probably twice normal. it went positive earlier in the day on that very good news about doing some production of the mac in the u.s. >> they've got too many and maybe we have too few. somewhere in the middle is the answer. bob pisani, thank you. >>> your top stock story today is -- what else -- apple. it is making a small comeback after hitting a nine-month low earlier today but it's been a run to forget for one of the most owned stocks in the world. it's down 7% over the past week. here's your head

negotiate a deal. he doesn't want to make a deal. less less monday at the hall, more -- he's less monty hall, more monti burns to extract pain on the republicans. >> stephanie: so the issue that he ran and won on -- >> well, i think what's so frustrating for republicans is the last time we had some of these dopey countdown to the clock of armageddon was with the debt deal. and republicans were in a much stronger position for better or for worse just because they were willing to you know, blow up the whole debt deal, et cetera. so i think you know, they wish it was like that. they wished -- when that unfolded, obama was taking hit after hit. he did not have the leverage. he obviously hadn't just won an election. his approval ratings were going in the tank. so they're upset that this isn't a rerun. they're upset that obama seems to be holding a lot of the cards. they're upset the republicans seem weak and boehner is divided and the republican party. so a lot of this complaint like we heard from ducey is him saying boy we want the debt deal again. we want it where obama was on the run and

they have trained three dogs to drive cars. the dogs are named monty, jimmy and porter. for two months, they trained indoors on how to change gears, to brake, and to steer. finally, the trainers allowed the dogs to get behind the wheel of a real car. and they did it on live tv. with a little bit of help from the humans. the dogs were able to put the car in gear, operate the accelerator and start driving. they can even steer on command. the trainers say they simply created a series of instinctive behaviors for the dogs to learn. but it did take a while, they say, for the dogs to get an idea of what was actually happening. i'm not sure they ever did. but anyway, the project was sponsored by the spca in new zealand. they wanted to prove dogs can do anything. we don't suppose we'll see
